Mallards on approach

Occasionally, I will spotlight a favorite photo. First in the series is the mallard ducks on landing approach at Loess Bluffs NWR. I was at the refuge to photograph the eaglets in the northwest nest where two eaglets are said to reside. I haven't spotted the youngin' myself though talked to a few people who have seen the eaglets.

Camera was setup on a tripod and as I was watching for the return of the parents, I spotted the three mallards approaching a small pond. I was able to spin around and grab and few frames of the ducks going by. All the photos were a bit under exposed but Photoshop saved the day. Reminds me of the Blue Angels landing in sync at the airshows.
